On March 6th, 2018 there are only 21,305 days left until America 300. On this day in 1836, the Battle of the Alamo was fought in Texas, where legendary Americans and frontiersmen Davey Crocket and Jim Bowie,  bravely defended the Alamo Mission until their death. Though greatly numbered by almost 4 to 1 and outgunned the Americans defending the Alamo never gave up, they fought for what they believed in, America.  They gave their lives for freedom. Bowie knifes are named after Jim Bowie, who was the best known knife fighter in the world, he carried a unique long knife which he designed himself.  A Bowie knife is generally considered to be a knife longer than 8.25 Inches.
